MESIL Learning and Teaching Activities in 2019

In 2019, the MESIL team will conduct two social entrepreneurship workshops with staff and students from Jordan and Germany. Our target audience is interdisciplinary addressing students from architecture, landscape design, economics, agriculture, rural development and management alike. DAAD grants for travel and subsistence are available for both learning activities.

The first workshop has focussed on rural entrepreneurship and sustainable tourism. It took place in Jordan in the period 22.-29. of June, 2019.

The second workshop will take Jordanian, Lebanese and Palestinian students to Nürtingen from November 16.-22., 2019 to work with HfWU students on local challenges. Our focus will be on sustainable neighborhood development in Nürtingen with a specific emphasis on social integration and community building.

An online preparatory phase and assignment will preceed this workshop starting on October 10, 2019. The seminar group meets online on Thursdays between 16 00 and 17 30 CET in the period 10.10. - 14.11.2019.

HfWU students from all disciplines are invited to join this seminar and to work with the MESIL students here in Nürtingen in an interesting community context.

If you are interested, you can register, please as soon as possible and before October 7, online via this link.

If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Ellen Fetzer or Prof. Dr. Dirk Funck.
